Whenever we ask you for information, we will explain how this information will be used. Your personal information will never be provided to other companies or individuals without your permission. The only areas in BladeS site that require registration are the Members Area and eNewsletter subscription service. Members are sent an email with link to create user ID and password which will be used for all future access to this members area. There are occasions where additional information is requested; this will happen only when the information can be used for providing services that we believe may be valuable to you. We give you the opportunity to elect not to receive information from us regarding upcoming events and other news. We also collect information from you when you request membership documents or contact us through our Contact Us page. We will collect your name and email address in order to follow up on your requests. Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information, except when a user accesses the Members Only area of the Web site. Protecting Your PrivacyBladeS will take reasonable security measures to protect your personal information. To do so, BladeS partners with Kavi Corporation, an online infrastructure provider for standards consortia and associations, to ensure that when you submit your information to us online, the information is handled appropriately. A variety of security technologies and procedures are also used to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, Kavi stores the personal information you provide on limited access computer systems that are located in secured facilities. Kavi’s employees are trained and kept up-to-date. If you have any questions about the security at BladeS website, you can send an email to admin@bladesystems.org. Your personal information will not be provided to other companies or individuals without your permission. However, there are times when your name and delivery address may be given to third parties that BladeS uses for delivering specific services to you (e.g., customer support, or a shipping company if you have asked us to send something to you.) Any 3rd party links provided on BladeS website are there for the convenience of our users. BladeS does not manage these 3rd party sites. It is recommended that you review their individual policies for details on protection of your personal information. Control of Your InformationYou can help maintain the accuracy of your information by notifying BladeS of any changes to your address, title, phone number or email address. Occasionally BladeS will email all members even if some have elected to not receive emails; this happens only when the information being communicated is deemed relevant and critical to all members. At any time a user (non-member) may opt-out of receiving event updates, press release announcements, and other information and updates from BladeS by sending an email request to admin@bladesystems.org.
