Unveiling BladeS Interoperability Data Center 

Live Sessions Showcased at BladeSystems Insight

Hosted by SpaceDev Inc. in Poway, CA, BladeS Interoperability Data Center was broadcasted live at BladeSystems Insight '08 in Tucson, AZ. 

The first phase of this project consists of blade servers, Fibre Channel SAN, environmental monitored racks and UPS, Ethernet routers and switches, computers and cabling.  Current equipment contributors are BladeS member companies that include Emerson-Liebert, IBM, XIOTech, Emulex, Brocade and APC. The project architect, Dennis Carlson, anticipates additional contributions as the project progresses. Events

Drawing a crowd of 350, this exclusive, invitation-only event completes its 2008 US venue in Tucson, AZ, in the world-class JW Star Pass Marriott Spa and Resort.

Expanding from its 2007 venue, this year's event brought together all major blade server vendors that included Hitachi, Sun, SuperMicro, Dell, Intel, HP and IBM.  The Blade Server Vendor Panel in the first day of the event was the first ever that the major players were presented on stage as a group to discuss moving the blade technology and innovation forward. 

Virtualization, Green IT, and Power & Cooling were common themes in the conference's keynotes and presentations.
