BladeS forms Strategic Alliance with AITP

 

Gesturing its major push into the End User community, BladeS has formalized a Strategic Alliance Agreement with the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP). AITP is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potentials in the area of IT -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others.  The BladeS/AITP partnership will be formally announced at the upcoming FOSE event in Washington D.C., at a press conference with Kenneth McCardle representing AITP and Jim Hall, President of BladeS.

This exciting alliance provides BladeS access to an audience as well as participants that are core to the organization’s mission. It enables BladeS to be an effective platform for technical exchanges among end users, vendors, and industry watchers, for the advancement of blade technology. The cornerstone of this strategic effort will be a newly developed site:

“The Data Center Evolution - An Open Forum for CIO's & IT Management”

This robust site will be hosted on the BladeS site, www.bladesystems.org, and reciprocally linked to www.aitp.org. AITP members will have direct access to a comprehensive library of information on the world of blade-based systems, virtualization software and other technologies transforming today’s data center including:

• White papers on a wide variety of research, technology developments and topical issues

• Webcasts posted by BladeS and AITP members and affiliated associations

• Feature columns to benefit end-users such as a Data Center Guru column, Facility Manager Advice Column, and a BladeS technology column hosted monthly by a BladeS member

• Data Center blog designed to provide cutting-edge news, insights and interactive dialogue with end-users

• Monthly “Data Center Evolution e-newsletter” featuring exclusive content from leading end-users, vendors and the world’s leading blade analysts and consultants. BladeS will provide AITP members special access for complimentary e-newsletter subscription.

As BladeS’ newest strategic partner, AITP will be joining BladeS, Blade.org, DMTF, Ethernet Alliance, and Open Grid Forum as part of the association community taking part in the inaugural BladeSystems Insight, April 10-12, 2007, at the Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa in Savannah, Georgia. The event is co-produced by BladeS in partnership with PPM Media.
